Tina Sawyer
Morning Show Co-Host/ Promotions Director
Tina Sawyer has been yacking to the masses on the radio in Northern and Central Michigan for 20 years! Starting in the radio business at the ripe old age of 17 in Houghton Lake, she then discovered she wasn’t cold enough and worked for a couple years in Grayling. In 1992, she heard the party was in Mt. Pleasant and has been here ever since. She also studied theatre and has been in many productions at Mid Michigan Community College including playing leads in You Can’t Take It With You, Hello Dolly, Once Upon a Mattress and Spoon River Anthology.
Tina is married to meteorologist Jim Hitpas and has two girls, Emily and Courtney. Her family is rounded out by Willie the Cat and Shelby the Chocolate Lab!
Tina is actively involved with The Broadway Players, US Marine Corp Toys for Tots, Child and Family Enrichment, Women’s Aid, the Red Cross and Isabella Community Soup Kitchen. She also believes strongly in the HATS organization and the Girl Scouts of Mitten Bay!
Tina has won MAB awards for her creative commercial production and owns her own freelance voice over business…some of her clients include: Hardy Communications, Dow, United Way, Lakeshore Creative Services and Charter Communications!
