Bryan Carr
Bryan Carr comes to WCZY and WMMI with nearly four years of radio experience at radio and television stations in northern and central Michigan. He possesses a Bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University with a dual major in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts and Political Science, and will be pursuing a Master’s degree in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts in the fall.
Bryan serves as the News Director for both stations, and is responsible for live news events such as WCZY’s live coverage of both the 2006 primary and general elections. He also co-hosts the John Sebastian Morning Show from 6 AM until 9 AM Monday through Friday and performs a daily newscast on the show, as well as subsequent newscasts throughout the broadcast day. He also acts as the Internet Director for the station and is responsible for maintaining this very website.
Bryan has been recognized for his accomplishments with many awards, including the prestigious Bayliss Radio Foundation scholarship, a Michigan Association of Broadcasters award in the “Talk Show” category for a program he produced at Central Michigan University, a Superior Award in Broadcast Journalism from the Pi Kappa Delta national forensics tournament, Best On-Air Talent and Best Specialty Show awards from the student-run CMU station Modern Rock 91.5, and numerous scholastic honors as well.
In his spare time, Bryan enjoys movies, reading, and writing.
