Bryan Carr
Bryan Carr is pretty much the greatest guy.
OK, maybe that’s overselling it a bit. OK, maybe that’s overselling it a lot. But he does bring to WCZY/WMMI a level of experience and skill that exceeds his age, with a Master of Arts degree in Electronic Media Management and a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree with a dual major in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts and Political Science and over six years of broadcast experience at television and radio stations across Michigan.
Bryan has been recognized for his accomplishments with many awards, including the prestigious Bayliss Radio Foundation scholarship, a Michigan Association of Broadcasters award in the “Talk Show” category for a program he produced at Central Michigan University, a Superior Award in Broadcast Journalism from the Pi Kappa Delta national forensics tournament, Best On-Air Talent and Best Specialty Show awards from the student-run CMU station Modern Rock 91.5, and numerous scholastic honors as well. He’s also a published academic author, with an article he co-wrote with Professor Rick Sykes of Central Michigan University being published in the May 2009 edition of the Broadcast Education Association journal Feedback.
Currently, Bryan is your co-pilot from 4PM-8PM weekdays and also hosts the Saturday morning show from 8-11AM. And because he is the Production and Internet Director, he also puts together most of the awesome commercials you hear on WCZY and makes sure the website is updated so you have all the information you need.
